In Loving Memory of TY (Tonya) Olson-Tyler, July 20, 1977 – January 21, 2025, It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of TY (Tonya) Olson-Tyler, age 47, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida. TY passed away peacefully on January 21, 2025, surrounded by family and loved ones, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

TY was the beloved wife of Gina Olson-Tyler, a devoted stepmother to Kyler and Logan, and a cherished daughter to Sharon Tyler. She is also survived by her brother, Herbert Tyler (Crystal Crossley), her niece Emma, and her nephew Logan. TY was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Tyler.

A dedicated professional, TY excelled in law enforcement, where she served with distinction as a Detective Sergeant for Belle Glade before retiring as a highly respected federal agent. Her work, which she approached with unwavering commitment and integrity, touched many lives, and she was respected by her peers and community alike. TY was a warrior in every sense—both in her career and in her battle with cancer.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, TY was known for her kindness, generosity, and her fierce love and protection of those she held dear. She had a heart full of compassion, always putting others before herself, and her warmth and spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A celebration of TY's life will be held where friends and family can gather to honor her memory. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pancreatic Cancer Awareness, a cause dear to her heart.

TY's legacy of strength, love, and service will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
