Margaret (Meg) Chester Long passed away on Christmas Eve in West Palm Beach, Florida after a long
battle with lung cancer.
Meg was born in Kokomo, Indiana and graduated from Wellesley High School in Wellesley,
Massachusetts. She was a proud Purdue University Boilermaker and member of Phi Beta Phi
sorority.
Meg joined International Paper Company, and later Pactiv Corporation, where she found great
satisfaction during her 40 year career in sales, successfully growing a single product line in
progressive sales positions. While at IP she met and married her first husband Charles (Charlie)

Csiszar. They made homes in Memphis, TN, Charlotte, NC and Carmel, IN and brought forth a
wonderful and beautiful daughter, Kelly.
Throughout her life Meg easily met others who often became fast friends. She continued those
friendships from one chapter of her life into those that followed. Neighbors, high school chums,
sorority sisters, work associates and those sharing her many interests maintained close contact with
her throughout her life.
After the tragic loss of Charlie, and after an interlude of several years, Meg met and married the
second love of her life, Roger (Keith) Long. In retirement they enjoyed the fruits of hard work,
traveling abroad, pursuing interests in sports, skiing, horses and boating. Meg enjoyed cooking and
entertaining for family and friends in their homes at West Palm Beach, Chicago and Megeve, France.
Meg had a wonderful flair for fashion and elegance which she always wore with grace. Meg's
warmth, love and concern for her family and her friends preceded her. She will be sorely missed by
all who knew her.
A memorial service is scheduled, February 2nd at 12:30 pm at Second Presbyterian Church in
Indianapolis, IN.
Prior to her passing, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Csiszar and Roger
Keith Long, her parents, Alden P. (Mike) Chester and Dorothy Cougill Chester. Meg is survived by
her daughter Kelly Csiszar, Chicago IL. brother Dr. Andrew Chester (Pattie) of Carmel, IN and
Naples Florida and brother Alden P. (Hap) Chester (CDR ret. USN) (Ruth) of Suffolk, Virginia,
numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
