Obituary

Israel Guitian, 94, passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2024 with family by his side.


Israel was born to Jose M. Guitian and Isabel Nogueras on February 1, 1930 in Guantanamo, Cuba.


Israel was a successful business owner during his working years. He, along with his two brothers owned and operated Michelsa's Bakery in Florida. Israel was a family man of faith. He lived his life placing God and family first in all of his actions.


One of his greatest qualities was his optimistic outlook on life. He was able to bring people together. His vibrant, positive energy was

contagious and he always entered a room with a big smile.


He was cherished by his children and adored by his grandchildren. He lived, loved and laughed with all his heart.


His presence in all our lives will be missed and his memory will live on in all those lives he touched.


Israel was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Elsa Guitian.


Survived by his children Dr. Jose A. Guitian, Israel Guitian Jr., Mariaelena Gayo-Guitian, Elsa Guitian Kennedy and Michael B. Kennedy

and along with his cousins, Amada and Diamela Del Castillo and with several nieces and nephews and many family friends.

Israel nació de José M. Guitian e Isabel Nogueras el 1 de febrero de 1930 en Guantánamo, Cuba.


Israel fue un empresario exitoso durante sus años laborales. Él, junto con sus dos hermanos, eran dueños y operaban Michelsa's

Bakery en Florida. Israel era un hombre de familia y de fe. Vivió su vida poniendo a Dios y a su familia en primer lugar en todas sus acciones.


Una de sus mayores cualidades fue su visión optimista de la vida. Pudo unir a la gente. Su energía vibrante y positiva era contagiosa y

Sus hijos lo querían y sus nietos lo adoraban. Vivió, amó y rió con todo su corazón.

A Israel le precedió en la muerte su esposa durante 60 años, Elsa Guitian.


Le sobreviven sus hijos Dr. José A. Guitian, Israel Guitian Jr., Mariaelena Gayo-Guitian, Elsa Guitian Kennedy y Michael B. Kennedy y

junto con sus primas, Amada y Diamela Del Castillo y con varias sobrinas y sobrinos y muchos amigos de la familia.
